FlowAlert

Shopify Integration

Shopify Notifications

Get Shopify orders, cancellations, and refunds pushed to the right staff member the moment they happen — with acknowledgement tracking and automatic escalation. Connects directly with a native webhook, no Zapier required.

1,000 free events/month · No card required

Shopify emails one inbox — it doesn't route to the right person.

Shopify staff notifications go to a fixed email address — no rules to send big orders to a manager or refunds to support.

The Shopify app only pushes while someone is logged in — it's not a guaranteed, routed alert.

Cancellations and refund requests slip by until someone happens to check.

There's no acknowledgement and no escalation — nobody actually owns the order.

FlowAlert receives Shopify's webhook directly, verifies its HMAC signature, and routes each event to the right person — with acknowledgement and escalation built in.

How it works

From event to acknowledged alert — the whole path, in order.

1

In FlowAlert → Integrations, add a Shopify source and copy your webhook URL

2

In Shopify → Settings → Notifications → Webhooks, create a webhook for the topic and paste that URL

3

Paste Shopify's webhook signing secret back into FlowAlert

4

Pick the events to route — new orders, cancellations, refunds

5

Every webhook is HMAC-verified, then pushed to the right person — who acknowledges, or it escalates

Use cases

New orders to the floor

Every Shopify order lands on the right person's phone the moment it's placed — no refreshing the admin, no checking a shared inbox during a rush.

High-value order routing

Match on the order total and send orders above a threshold straight to the store manager, while everyday orders go to the fulfilment team.

Cancellations & refunds to support

The instant an order is cancelled or refunded, your support lead knows — so they can reach out, fix the issue, and head off a chargeback.

After-hours on-call

Put your team on an on-call rotation so overnight orders and cancellations reach whoever's covering — and escalate if they're missed.

Connect Shopify in a few minutes — no Zapier.

Common questions

The things people ask before connecting this — the docs cover the rest.

No. FlowAlert gives you a real webhook URL you paste into Shopify's own webhook settings. There's no Zapier account and no per-task fees — Shopify sends events directly to FlowAlert.

Go to Shopify admin → Settings → Notifications → Webhooks. The signing secret is shown at the bottom of that page. Copy it into the Shopify integration in FlowAlert → Integrations so every event can be HMAC-verified.

New orders (orders/create), paid orders (orders/paid), cancellations (orders/cancelled), refunds (refunds/create), and fulfilments (orders/fulfilled). Each maps to a clean shopify.* event you can route independently.

Yes. Add a routing rule that matches on the order total and targets your manager, plus a catch-all rule for everyone else. Rules can match on any field in the order payload.

Yes. Every webhook is verified against your Shopify signing secret using HMAC before it's accepted, and the receiver URL carries an unguessable token unique to your workspace.

Both. Staff install the free FlowAlert app on iOS or Android and receive native push notifications the moment a Shopify event fires — lock screen, sound, and history included.

Yes. The free plan includes 1,000 events per month. Pro is $29/month flat for unlimited events and routing rules — no per-seat fee.

Stop missing what matters.

Set up FlowAlert in under two minutes: connect a source, define your first routing rule, and the right person’s phone knows from then on.
